CARLYLE HENRY, MHC-LP

Therapist

OFFICE LOCATION : NEW YORK

Therapy serves as a way to improve your mental health for a better and well-rounded life. As your therapist, I am committed to guiding you to empowerment and striving for a safe and judgment-free environment. With each session, I provide my undivided attention and positive regard. Understanding and empathy have been my strong suit and I make sure every one of my clients have a space where they are able to share their inner thoughts, goals, and concerns. I work collaboratively with my clients to find healthier coping skills and to resolve issues revolving around self-esteem, peer relations, parenting, and much more. I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, using aspects of Feminist Theory, and I tend to take a person-Centered approach to therapy, where positive regard is the main theme. Working together, the ability to make connections, and beginning a process of healing are my main concerns. I strive to help you through issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship issues.

I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science In Psychology in 2018. I started my career in case management working with Children and families, then in 2021 I wanted to continue my education in mental health counseling and I recently graduated from Fordham University with my Masters of Science in Education. Together, with time and patience, we can create a better mental environment and start a journey toward healing and wellness. Every day is a new opportunity to become the best version of yourself, let's start with therapy and guide you through this process.
